Perfume Collection

Hey guys! Thought I would do a post on my perfume collection seeing as I love perfume. While I don't own many, my collection only consists of five, I love all of them despite the fact they are all very different scents. All the perfumes mentioned in this post are Eau de Parfum's as I prefer these to Eau de Toilette as they last longer. Hope you enjoy!

 Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck
£20 for 30ml

This is the only celebrity perfume I own as I am usually not a big fan of them, but it is definitely one of my favourites. It's probably the sweetest smelling perfume I own, the main note being vanilla with hints of freesia, apple blossom and raspberry. For me it's the perfect blend of fruity and floral scents and the perfume I find myself gravitating towards most often. If you like sweet scents then this is definitely one for you, and the price isn't bad either!

Givenchy - Play Intense for Her
£35.99 for 30ml

This perfume was gifted to me by a now ex boyfriend who we won't name, but despite that I do really love the scent. It is definitely more of a night time perfume as it is a strong, heavy scent. Some of the notes include  pink peppercorn, white peach, orange blossom and magnolia. Another thing I like about this perfume is the lasting power. Out of all the perfumes I own this one probably lasts the longest on my skin and I can still smell it a good 6 hours after spraying it.

Diesel - Loverdose
£36 for 30ml

This was the first perfume I purchased for myself back in 2011. I used to wear it a lot back then, however since my collection has expanded I have found myself using it less and less. Again it is a strong, heavy scent, better suited to nighttime - this is the only time I will wear it. The scent is really a love it or hate it one. The main note is liquorice which I understand isn't to everyone's taste. Other notes include mandarin, vanilla and dry woods but the liquorice is definitely what stands out. It is unlike any other perfume I have smelled, it's unique and I like that. Like I said, it's not for everyone so it's one to try before you buy!

Stella McCartney - Stella
£40 for 30ml

This perfume is somewhat of a blogger favourite. I had to try it after I heard so many bloggers and youtuber's saying how amazing it was! It has top notes of rose, peony and mandarin, middle notes of rose absolute and base notes of amber. This is my travel perfume, it is perfect for chucking in your bag when you're heading out the door as the bottle is small and has a lid, so it wont leak in your bag. The scent is distinctive - I can always tell if someone is wearing Stella. It is one of the pricier perfumes in my collection but definitely worth the price, and the body lotion I got free with it is amazing too.

Chloe - Chloe
£40 for 30ml

This was another perfume purchase inspired by a youtuber - specifically Barbara from thepersianbabe. I adore her style and everything she wears so when she said she loved this perfume I knew I had to own it. I have saved the best till last - this perfume is gorgeous. The scent as well as the bottle are elegant and sophisticated and make me feel like a real grown up woman when I wear it. It has notes of rose, lychee and honey and is a floral scent I feel every girl should own. I think this is quickly becoming my signature scent.

Perfect for day or night and one that is sure to bring you tons of compliments. A must have!

Have you tried any of these perfumes? What are your favourite scents? Let me know in the comments below!

April 2013 Favourites

Hello! If there is anyone out there reading this, welcome to my blog! Starting a blog has been on my bucketlist now for the past two years and today I woke up and decided to bite the bullet and finally go ahead and start one. Starting a blog, as I'm sure my fellow bloggers know, is quite a daunting process to begin with, so bear with me while I get used to it.

For my first post I thought I would show you some of the beauty products I have been absolutely loving during the month of April. Enjoy!

Alpha H Liquid Gold
£31

I bought this product a while ago now back in January after lusting after it for months. It was difficult for me to justify the price tag of £31 being a skint student however over the past year my skin has taken a turn for the worst and I was desperate for something to help the scars I have left over from acne. I have been using it once or twice a week since I bought it and I have to admit, I love it! It really is true what people say, you wake up after using it the night before and your skin looks glowing and renewed. It is difficult to say as my skin  is constantly breaking out but I do think it has also helped to fade some of my acne scarring which has really been taking a toll on my confidence lately.

Soap and Glory: Butter Yourself Body Butter
£10.50

Boots were doing an offer a while back where if you spent £10 on Soap and Glory you got this body butter free. I couldn't resist as this also gave me the opportunity to try out the Sugar Crush Body Scrub which I have heard so many great things about. I love this body butter, its thick, but not too thick as it soaks into the skin quickly which is a must for me as I hate that sticky feeling other body butters can leave you with. It has a pleasant fruity smell that isn't too overpowering which again I love as I don't like when my body products compete with my perfume.

Revlon Colourstay Foundation
£12.49

I had to mention this foundation as it has been my everyday foundation for quite some time now. It provides that high coverage that my skin needs these days, but what I love most about it is its staying power. This lasts all day long. It's a favourite of so many people and a staple in my makeup collection.

Essie Nail Polish in Figi
£7.99

This nail polish is gorgeous and perfect for the spring/summer months. I have had it on my nails almost all of April and can't see me taking it off anytime soon! Its the pefect light pastel pink, and would look great with a tan (not that I can get one of those!).

Chloe Perfume
£40 for 30ml

This has definitely been my perfume of choice recently. Its a very distinctive floral scent, it just smells amazing. I have been gravitating towards this recently as all the other perfumes I own are quite heavy and I wanted something lighter and more spring like now it is finally starting to feel like spring in England.

Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla and Macadamia
£2.50

I cannot get enough of the new Nivea Lip Butters recently, especially this Vanilla and Macadamia one. The smell is unbelievable and truthfully the main reason I love it so much. They are very moisturising as well though, and great for putting on before you go to bed to ensure you wake up with soft, smooth lips.

MUA Power Pout in Broken Hearted
£3

MUA Power Pout in Broken Hearted
I have never been a huge fan of MUA to be honest but when i stumbled across their new Power Pout lip balm stain thingys in superdrug, I just couldn't resist! They are almost identical packaging wise to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and I find the one I have to be even more moisturising than the Revlon ones.  For just £3 they are an absolute bargain and I shall definitely be picking up more of the six colours in the range.
